Owning a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in New Jersey isn't about having one; it's about what you do with it. After all, it’s a lifestyle! While a solo ride indeed offers a special solitude to a rider, it gets even better when you do this with other kindred souls at events, races, and festivals.
Harley-Davidson/Buell of Ocean County supports and sponsors a number of charity rides and events for Harley riders and enthusiasts. And while these affairs are indeed family-oriented and "PG" rated (okay…maybe bordering on “PG-13”, at times!), unlike your church’s ‘Sunday Socials,’ these events really rock! Offering food and great live music, these outdoor festivities and rallies also feature field games such as a “slow race,” and prizes for categories ranging from "oldest rider" to "rider coming the longest distance." Most times, there are also several vendor stalls selling everything from pin striping and other customizing services to branded Harley-Davidson® accessories.
How cool would it be getting your bike cleaned at a “Bikini Bike Wash,” knowing that the proceeds will go to the 200 Club, which helps families of injured or widowed police and fireman? Or how about an overnight Gettysburg Ride or an Armed Forces Ride in support of our troops?
